What is this service, now?
This is a phone service specially designed to connect Indians with their offices and family anywhere in the world. The worldwide calling rates start at just Rs0.40/minute, and calling within the network can even be free! This service is great if you have offices abroad, if you have family abroad, or if you are in India and need to make many International calls.
How much does it cost?
There are 2 plans to choose from: Premier and Easy Start. The Premier Plan has our best calling rates starting at 40 paise / minute (approx USD 0.01), but you pay Rs2,989 one time installation cost, lower of Rs150 or Rs1/minute per month as rent. If your monthly bill is likely to be less than Rs500, then the EasyStart Plan may be suitable. This plan has an upfront investment of just Rs989 with no rent despite call rates starting at Rs1.40 / minute (approx USD0.03).
How will you set up the service?
We ship you a device that you must attach to an Internet connection at your premises. There is no configuration that you must do, since we usually pre-configure the device before delivery.
How does this phone line work?
This phone line works over your broadband Internet connection. It uses VoIP technology to send the voice call over the Internet. We attach a phone number to broadband devices, so you can receive calls from ordinary phones as well.
What is this incoming phone number, now?
We provide numbers from 37 countries that are delivered to your premises in India. We also provide toll free (1 800) numbers from US and UK. Toll free numbers are great for businesses, but cost more. There is a one-time installation cost of Rs1,489 for the number, and a rent of Rs189 per month. Incoming calls are charged at the same rate as outgoing.
How do I save when I call within the network?
You save since calling such phone lines is free for Premier customers and very cheap for Easystart.
How do we pay for the service?
You can pay for the installation as well as recurring charges by credit card. We have arranged for the Worldpay service of the Royal Bank of Scotland to collect from the subscriber and send us the money. We accept payments by Mastercard, Visa, Visa Delta or Visa Purchasing in Indian Rupees, US or Australian Dollars, Euro or British Pounds.
In India, in the cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Surat and Ahmedabad we are able to process cheque and cash payments also.
Do we have to pay in Indian Rupees?
Not necessarily. All charges can be paid in Indian Rupees, US or Australian Dollars, Euro or British Pounds.
How do we register for the service?
You can register yourself by calling our helpdesk at 91-22-24216325, or go to our website www.trikon.in and register on-line. Your card will be authorised but NOT charged while registering. We will verify the registration with you and check feasibility of the service. Only after this do we ship the device and charge the card. This process takes up to 5 working days. The shipping address must be the same as your credit card's.
How are we billed?
Premier customers get a monthly statement listing all your charges. EasyStart customers can opt for such a statement at an additional cost. You also have access to an on-line console with real time information.
Is it a post paid service?
No. This is a prepaid service. You receive alerts by fax or email when the account goes low. You also have the option of automatic debiting of your credit card by Worldpay whenever your account goes low.
Do we need to pay service tax?
Yes, except where you have a specific exemption, e.g. SEEPZ units.
Do we have to pay for shipping?
No, shipping is free. We reserve the right to express inability to service certain destinations. The subscriber will not be charged in such cases.
Are the incoming and local calls free?
No, we charge incoming, local within USA, long distance and most international calls at the same rate. Calls from other subscriber are free. Local and STD calls within India are not permitted by the law at present. This service is designed as a secondary phone line which may not be used every day. Due to this, the tariff has a low monthly minimum but charges for incoming and local calls. You will find that overall, the service is cheaper than the rest.

You get an automated utility service, callerID and many other features.
What if we don't like it?
The service comes with a 3 month evaluation offer during which we will refund the installation amount and remaining talk time, no questions asked.
